Changing the way we experience the world.
You are a media maker. You aspire to create original experiences in sight and sound that educate, entertain, and delight audiences. You are at the forefront of contemporary culture—integrating words, video, audio, and digital code to shape the way we experience and understand the world. Write and produce television programming for children or establish and maintain a web presence for a burgeoning business. Develop your own digital films, documentaries, radio shows, or interactive programs. Devote your talents to post-production editing, sound, or special effects.
Wherever your passion lies, with a Master of Arts in Media Arts from Emerson College, you can build on your educational and professional background to create an enriching, creative career in television, radio, digital film, new media, and a host of other expressive outlets.
You will have access to expert faculty and multimillion dollar teaching laboratories.
As a leading innovator in communication and the arts, Emerson brings you the most enlightened and forward-thinking faculty and technologically advanced equipment and facilities possible.
You will work side-by-side with our award-winning faculty, who have extensive expertise in areas ranging from producing and directing, to editing for television, video, film, and new media. You will be supported and challenged inside the classroom, inside the studio, and in the real world.
Creating visionaries and leaders in media convergence.
Our curriculum provides the opportunity for you to tailor a program to best suit your professional goals. You will design a curriculum that concentrates on one or more of the following areas: audio, documentary video, fictional narrative video, television, new media production or media studies. With only a few required courses, the program gives you the latitude to explore and also concentrate. You may also wish to enhance your experience with an internship in one of many major media markets with strong Emerson connections, such as Boston or Los Angeles.
