Why did you choose Emerson College for graduate school?

Emerson has a great reputation in the journalism field. I knew that Emerson would teach me the skills necessary to excel in such a competitive field.


What is your favorite aspect of the Journalism program?

While I am focusing on broadcast journalism, I am getting a solid foundation in print and multimedia journalism as well. The curriculum is very hands-on so I’m not just learning about journalism, I am being a journalist.


What do you like best about living in Boston?

There is always something new and exciting happening in Boston—I am never bored!


What is the best piece of advice you would give someone considering or entering graduate school?

Start studying for the GRE early!


Why should prospective graduate students visit Emerson?

Visiting Emerson is the best way to see if the school is a good fit. Seeing the classrooms and meeting professors gives prospective students a better idea of what the school is like.


What is the most surprising thing you've discovered about yourself in graduate school?

I can handle a demanding class schedule and work.


How do you believe your Emerson College graduate degree will affect your future?

A degree from Emerson will prepare me to be successful in any area of journalism I decide to pursue.
