Honors Program

Through Emerson's Honors Program, students of exceptional ability participate in a four-year interdisciplinary learning experience that emphasizes the primary liberal arts traditions and their bearing on creative and professional practice. Honors students receive the prestigious Trustees' Scholarship, and may major in any field offered by the College. All Honors students complete a capstone project in their senior year that combines work in their major with original research or critical analysis.

"For me, Emerson's Honors Program acted as the academic, theoretical, and philosophical complement to the artsy, practical, hands-on curriculum. Honors classes tapped into my left brain, while other classes and curricular activities exercised my right brain. These experiences made me a well-rounded student who is both an academician and an artist."
