Boston Cultural Links

Boston is rich in cultural history and traditions, including the City's architecture and ethnic communities. Annually, hundreds of thousands of visitors come to Boston to visit historic landmarks, including the African Meeting House and Freedom Trail; participate in cultural events, such as First Night Boston and Caribbean Carnival; and attend school at one of Boston's nearly 50 colleges and universities. These visitors enter a city that is rich in cultural history, yet thriving as a major metropolis. Boston recently became one of the few cities in the United States where a majority of its residents are persons of color, truly making Boston a "Hub" of education and diversity in the United States.

As you transition into life as a student in Boston, here are links to cultural, media, transportation and social resources so that you can become more familiar with what's happening in "The Hub."
